Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner — Medical & Surgical Dermatology

Wesley McComas, MS, APRN, FNP-C, is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner at DOCS Dermatology and Miami Valley Plastic Surgeons in Dayton, Ohio, specializing in medical and surgical dermatology since 2018. She provides comprehensive skin care for patients throughout the Dayton and Miami Valley area, with particular expertise in skin cancer screenings and detection, skin cancer excisions, acne and rosacea treatment, and the management of eczema and psoriasis. Her practice also includes skin biopsies, treatment of hidradenitis suppurativa (HS), cryotherapy for precancerous skin lesions, wart and skin tag removal, and hair loss evaluation and treatment.

Wesley works closely with each patient to build an individualized treatment plan, combining evidence-based dermatologic care with a growing interest in integrative medicine, exploring how nutrition, lifestyle, and overall wellness can support healthy skin. Known for her compassionate, patient-centered approach, she is committed to helping patients feel confident and informed at every step of their care, and she values the long-term relationships she builds by taking time to listen, educate, and tailor treatment to each person's unique needs.

Wesley earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Wright State University in 2014, graduating as a Departmental Honors Scholar and receiving the Outstanding Undergraduate Student Award. She went on to complete her Master of Science in Nursing at The Ohio State University in 2018, becoming a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner. Since then, she has focused her practice exclusively on dermatology, bringing a well-rounded clinical foundation shaped by a diverse nursing background across multiple areas of patient care.

Outside of practicing dermatology in Dayton, Wesley is an active member of her community, serving as a kindergarten homeroom parent and Girl Scout Daisy troop leader — roles that reflect her passion for mentorship and helping others grow with confidence, both in and out of the exam room. She lives with her husband and three daughters and enjoys traveling and exploring the outdoors together as a family.
